In Days 1-10

At this point in Saul’s story, we see God use a vision to instruct His servant Ananias to go and meet Saul. Can you imagine the fear and uncertainty Ananias must have felt? Not only did God give him a vision, but He told him to go and meet with one of the most feared persecutors of the church! Ananias was to be the tool through which God would reach down, restore Saul’s sight, and transform his life.

Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.” – Acts 9:10-14

Pray that God would use His disciples around the world to change the lives of ISIS members. Pray for the Holy Spirit to encourage them to reach those around them with power and courage.

God is moving throughout the Muslim world. Many Muslims have testimonies of how God has moved in their lives, revealing Himself to them through dreams and visions.

This passage from Joel reminds us of the mighty ways God moves and the glory of the salvation He offers:

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit. And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. – Joel 2:28-32

Pray that God would come to ISIS members in dreams and visions. Pray for large-scale dreams and visions—even that whole groups would have the same dream or vision at the same time. Pray for God to release His wonders among them so that they will call on His name and be saved.
