In Days 11-20

But the fruit of the Spirit is … gentleness … – Galatians 5:22
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. – James 3:17-18

A word spoken with gentleness can transform even hostile situations into opportunities for peacemaking. Pray that members of ISIS would embrace wisdom from above that is peaceable and gentle. Pray that they would respond to others with gentleness, thereby sowing a harvest of righteousness in their lives, families, and communities.

You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip. – Psalm 18:35-36
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” – Matthew 11:28-30

Pray that ISIS members would know the gentle touch of our Lord. May they tangibly experience His supportive hand along the wide path of His grace. Pray that they would come to Jesus, give him their burdens, and rest in His gentleness.
