In Days 11-20

But the fruit of the Spirit is … goodness … – Galatians 5:22

Can you imagine how deep and wide and long the goodness of God is? Take time today to ask that God’s goodness would be known and evident in our hearts and in the hearts of believers around the world, especially in areas influenced by ISIS.

Every year during the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims take time to reflect on who God is and their place before Him. As you pray, remember how God responded to Moses’ request to see Him more fully; ask that Muslims seeking God’s glory would see it.

Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. – Exodus 33:18-19

Pray that the goodness of the Lord would pass before members of ISIS and that they would be changed as Moses was. Pray that they would turn away from wickedness as God shows them who He is. Pray that ISIS members would desire to bear the goodness of a heart truly submitted to the most holy God.

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! – Psalm 27:13
Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! – Psalm 31:19

May members of ISIS powerfully experience the goodness and mercy of God. Pray that they would be able to see His goodness in every circumstance, even in their current situations. Pray that they would be forever transformed and seek to spread the goodness of the Lord through their words and deeds.
